Step into stillness and beauty with a modern interpretation of the Japanese tea ceremony – a collaboration between Aya from Moon & Soma and Franziska from Atelier Kyō – featuring single-origin matcha sourced from the tea fields of Uji, Kyoto.
This intimate gathering offers a taste of timeless tradition. During the ceremony, you’ll learn more about the Japanese craft of matcha, take part in a beautiful ritual of simplicity and presence, and receive a hand-whisked bowl of ceremonial matcha alongside a seasonal wagashi sweet, specially chosen to harmonise with the tea.
Come as you are, and let yourself to be guided into quietude and sensory reverence.
Aya: Aya is a tea ceremonialist, sharing the beauty and stillness of the Japanese Way of Tea. Her work flows between worlds – connecting to her roots through tea, and to the ancient wisdom of the Vedic sciences as a Vedic astrologer and Ayurvedic practitioner – all held within her platform, Moon & Soma.
Franziska: Franziska is the founder of Atelier Kyō, studio for Japanese tea, focused on exploring the depth and variety of authentic single-origin matcha. In her work, she brings matcha’s cultural heritage into modern life through carefully sourced tea, workshops, and sensory experiences.
The tea ceremony will be hosted in Osmōs studio in Berlin Neukölln. No need to bring anything, please arrive 5-10 minutes early to settle into the space.
